Simple problem but wasted about an hour messing about.
Just a matter of getting the right settings within Thunderbird Account Settings:-
Server settings:
server name: mail.btinternet.com
Connection security: none
Port : 110 (must do it after setting security to none.
user name: [email protected]
Outgoing Server (SMTP):
server name: mail.btinternet.com
Connection Security: none
Port: 25
user name: [email protected]
When you apply and do a "get connection" you may be prompted for the account password - and off you go!
