Quick Answer: uninstall and re-install version 2014.0.1
Adobe Edge Animate is no longer supported by Adobe... and I can see why.
After upgrading some old animations using the CC 2015 version I was tearing my hair out because the animation would not resize as the containing div resized. What would happen was that it would overflow the containing div and only resize once the browser window started to encroach on the animation.
After thinking it was me and wasting half a day investigating different ways around it, I eventually gave up and reinstalled CC 2014 version (by using the CC desktop manager to uninstall and then install the 2014 0 1 version (the later 2014 version also didn't work)
Any animations that you may have updated using 2015 are now useless and won't load in the older version so my advice is DO NOT UPGRADE from Adobe Edge 2014.0.1 unless you need unscalable animations.
ASIDE: If anyone knows how to fix this problem for the 2015 versions - then I'd like to kow what it is - obviously a javascript tweak somewhere - since I couldn't find it in any of my searches.
