CMS MADE SIMPLE... everything is simple when you know how!
Anyhoot - you install the gallery module into CMS, you quickly add a sub gallery - and you look at the gallery page of your website and it's working fine except that there's this nice message in the way :
"Thank you for installing the Gallery module. If you have uploaded some images
to the 'uploads/images/Gallery' folder, you will see them below. You can edit
titles, descriptions and thumbnail sizes in the admin section. Check out all
the other features this module offers in the Module Help."
Question : How do you remove the message?
Answer : This message is the default description text for the gallery and can be removed/edited by opening up the gallery and editing it's description.
This is of course simple when you know how, but if like me you jump into the template - see something about module messages and then search around for this in the system and fail and then when looking at description fields look at the sub gallery description not the top level, one gets frustrated (especially when you have a time pressure).
Didn't help that I'd just tried using the latest version of the Album module - but couldn't get it to work in IE as well as FF - and after playing for an hour or so it just gave up and had to be uninstalled.
Also annoying when I couldn't find anything on line about this - so I was using the wrong search. Eventually found the answer on line but hopefully this blog will be easier to find when I have the same problem in the future.
